I got this truck for a reason.

The reason is so I can go camping at the drop of a hat. Or live in it if necessary.

So green.

Pretty lady.

Majestic.

Not a bad way to fall asleep.

A Lot Can Happen in a Week.

It has been quite a week. On Saturday I bought a motorcycle. On Sunday I took that motorcycle up and down the Cottonwood Canyons and had a great time. It really is the best way to get around, especially the twisting winding canyon roads. On Monday I went to work and was essentially given double the usual work load. Not one to gripe I set out and tried to get it done as fast as I could, but in my heart of hearts I realized that I absolutely hated what I was doing. No amount of cheap booze is worth putting up with a company as poorly run as that one. Luckily for me I got a call later in the day and just like that I had an interview the next morning. So I called in sick, went to the interview and things are looking up. Wednesday morning I went out for a road test at my new place of employment, passed with flying colors and on my way home I dropped off all of my stuff to my old job and walked out of there without looking back. Thursday (today) I was called back in to fill out some paperwork and take a drug test. My new job starts on Monday, with a considerable jump in wages and a job that I don't hate. Things are really looking up. Not to mention that I won a free trip to Cancun this week as well. So that was neat. I guess what I'm getting at here is that a lot can happen in a week.

Betsy Ross

Gas prices. Am I right? They only ever seem to go up. What is a kid to do when his truck only gets 13 mpgs (at best) and he has places to be? You have to get creative! This country is founded on freedom! The freedom to do whatever you've got to do, whatever you want to do! Betsy Ross knew that. That's why she made the best damn flag I ever did see. So how did I get my little piece of freedom? Scroll down and find out.

Just checkin out the ski lifts in summer.

Can someone put the bar down?

What is this now?

BOOM BABY!

FREEEEEDOM!!!

I own that.

I think she is pretty.

And I am excited about it!!

America.
So why is this post called "Betsy Ross?" I'll tell you why, because I'm pretty sure that's what I'm going to name this beauty. We haven't quite gotten to know each other, but I've got a good feeling about it.

This is Happening.

I have had an intense case of bloggers block recently. For some reason I have just been incapable of producing anything creative or interesting or productive for a month. I began getting frustrated with myself, constantly trying to wring out something worth posting from my scattered brain but without success. Then, I had a thought. I've got to go back to my roots. Oh yes. I was going to find inspiration in the past. So I present my new schtick, my life in Lego.

Here I am with Tyler.

Liz and I going for a hike.

It's pretty up here.

Taking a break.

Girls like flowers, right?

She likes it!

Beers (and PiƱa Coladas) after a fun day.

Cheers!

Sunday, Salty Sunday

Not much to say about this one. We went out to the Great Salt Lake to snap some photos and as usual, we were not disappointed. The GSL is a great place to experience utter nothingness. A huge body of water that supports almost no life, it provides an alien backdrop for photography.

Anniversary!

A year can fly by if you aren't paying attention. An entire year of new experiences and adventures, an entire year of ups and downs, twists and turns, stops and starts. A lot can happen in a year. Yet it was only one year ago today that I found a missing part of my life. One year ago today I got Gabby, my Ford F-250. Our relationship isn't perfect by any means, but we love each other. She says we don't go driving enough, I say she drinks too much gas. But despite our faults we are a formidable team, so Happy One Year Anniversary Gabby!

A pretty lady.

She's always there for me.

She looks good in green.

Always ready for adventure.

She's not afraid to get a little dirty.

She takes me off the beaten path.

We compliment each other :)

She keeps me warm on cold winter nights.

I wouldn't want to share the road with any other truck.
